PartServe Warranty and Returns Policy
Whilst every effort is made to ensure only the highest quality products are supplied, from time to time through shipping, handling or human error there can be small problems. PartServe offers a warranty on all products sold which differ depending on the product type or supplied manufacturer warranty.
In addition PartServe will accept product returns depending on the type of product or issue experienced.
PartServe warranty
The following carry in repair warranties are offered on PartServe products sold online or through one of our branches.
- Spare parts warranty : All spare parts carry a 3 month warranty from date of sale.
- New products : According to manufacturer warranty 12 months minimum from date of sale
- Refurbished products : All refurbished products carry a 6 month carry in repair warranty from date of invoice.
Warranty includes any manufacturing faults and specifically excludes the following
- Physical damage, liquid damage or infestation
- Usage outside of the intended use or over usage of the part, or consuming the life of the part within the warranty time frame
- Software is excluded from the warranty
- Usage of non original printer consumables voids the warranty on the ink supply system including the printhead
Note - some vendors may request additional reports from your device before any spare parts warranty will be entertained.
Returns
Products purchased from our online system or from one of our branches may be returned within 7 days for refund or exchange under the following circumstances
- Product is received from the couriers with physical damage, note that courier waybill needs to be signed detailing damages
- Product is faulty out of the box or on startup
If you have requested a refund or return and no fault is found, or the reported fault is a direct result of a software issue and which can be rectified, PartServe will take the necessary steps to rectify the fault and make the product available to you to collect in good working order.
Unwanted Products
Where PartServe, at its discretion agrees to accept the return for credit of unwanted products, we will request you deliver the product back to the closest PartServe branch. It is essential that when returning an item to us, that it is packaged securely to prevent any damage during transit
Once we have inspected the product and validated the return, we will offer alternative product options, and upon mutual agreement of the replacement, will process an order with the requisite charges and credit for the returned items applied.
In the case of an exchanged product, the following scenarios and charges may be applicable:
- Exchanges within 7 days of delivery date (as determined by the proof of delivery information) will be subject to an exchange fee of R550 ex VAT, to cover the assessment of the returned product and courier charges.
- Exchanges older than 7 days, but less than 30 days will be subject to an Exchange / Refurbishment fee of R950 ex VAT, to cover the assessment and refurbishment of the returned product and courier charges.
- Exchanges older than 30 days, but less than 90 days will be subject to an Exchange / Refurbishment fee of R950 ex VAT (as above) and a Pro rata fee for the period of the Warranty that has elapsed.
- Exchanges older than 90 days are not accepted for refund or exchange.
Note that no refund or exchange will be given for product specifically ordered for a customer or for special stock ordered for a customer or for bulk deals where additional stock was purchased for a specific deal.

Refunds
Refunds are issued only in the case where an item that was damaged on delivery (and such damage has been validated) or found to be defective within 7 days of delivery date (as determined by the proof of delivery information) and a viable replacement is not available. Refunds will only be approved once the product has been returned, and the return item having been assessed. The assessment of the return will be completed within 7 business days from the time the item is delivered back to PartServe.
Refunds will be processed within 10 business days of when the refund is approved.
Products returned incomplete - If you return a defective product to us, but you fail to return all of the accessories and parts that were sold with that product, PartServe is entitled to refuse the return, or only to replace the item that you did return; or to estimate the value of the missing accessories and parts and to credit or refund you in respect of the returned item only.
Refunds will only be processed by EFT upon receipt of a banking confirmation letter detailing the User or Business name as well as account details.
